Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3's getting refreshed ahead of the Holidays.

Activision's announced a bunch of updates for Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, all set to launch ahead of the Holidays. First up is the inclusion of a brand new multiplayer mode found under the Community Playlists heading. Dubbed "Drop Zone", the mode unsurprisingly sees teams working together to capture and hold a... drop zone.

The team with the most players inside the Drop Zone will earn a Care Package every 15 seconds. Additionally, earning Care Packages is the only way to net point-streaks. We're sure all of this makes perfect sense to Call Of Duty veterans.

In addition to the new mode, Activision's also implemented Hardcore Headquarters Ricochet  to the Hardcore playlist. Furthermore, all Hardcore modes will now feature the inclusion of Ricochet, which sends friendly fire back to the perpetrator.

These changes will be accompanied by the release of a new patch, that aims to fix host and lag compensation problems that have caused ire within the Call Of Duty community.
