Not strictly gaming related this one, but interesting none-the-less

According to a Wall Street Journal report, Sony is planning to buyout Ericsson from its joint mobile venture. The move — which would cost between $1.3 and $1.7 billion — would see Sony take sole control of the business, allowing the company to better integrate its smartphone operation with its gaming, PC and tablet computer businesses.
