A Number Of Sony's First-Party Studios Are Preparing To Switch Their Attention To PlayStation 4.

Ironically on the week we've spent a lot of time pondering PlayStation 4. We got to thinking about Sony's next system when we came to the conclusion that Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception would probably be Naughty Dog's final PlayStation 3 game.

We figured that by analysing the portfolio of Sony's internal studios, we could probably formulate assumptions on the time-frame and launch-titles of PlayStation 4. We reckon Naughty Dog, Evolution Studios, Media Molecule and Guerrilla Games will all have new projects prepared for the launch window, while Sony Santa Monica is probably sticking to PS3 for the time being.

Today, courtesy of Develop, we've got the first glimmer of news about the PlayStation 4. It's an unconfirmed nugget, but it's interesting none the less. The industry website cites a "trusted source", and claims that a number of internal Sony studios have all started preliminary work on PS4 titles.

It's unknown which studios are turning their attention to Sony's new platform, but we'll certainly start to learn trickles of information from here on out. This is just the start, folks. PlayStation 4 speculation starts here. Are you ready for it?
