Answers are the best things ever.

Now that LittleBigPlanet 2 is fully Moved-up, there's been plenty of questions flying around about exactly what the Move Pack: Rise of the Cakeling adds to the standalone game and how necessary it is. XDev Studio Europe producer Neil McPhillips has taken to the PlayStation Blog to give some answers.

The biggest and best news is that you can play the entire game with PlayStation Move without purchasing the Move Pack: update to version 1.06 and you can play all the Move capable user-generated content, as well as the story mode and more with your PlayStation Move and Navigation:

Q: Can I play all the new user-generated “Move” levels, even though I didn’t buy the LBP2 Move Pack?
A: Yup. Update 1.06 lets anyone who has LBP2 to play all the ‘move capable’ user-generated content online, as well as everything else (original LBP2 story mode, regular user-generated content, etc). But we have to say you’ll be missing out on all the great new story levels and extra goodies.

You can also use Move and Navigation in multiplayer, though if you're having some four-player fun one player will be left holding the standard DualShock 3 controller.

If you've read our LittleBigPlanet 2 review and you're still not sure if the game's Move controls are for you, this video from our friends at iWaggle3D might help out:
