"The PS3 Needs A New Firmware Update Every Other Day," Is The Kind Of Exaggeration We're Bored Of Hearing.

We're not sure what all the fuss is about to be honest, firmware updates take no longer than a few minutes to download and install where we are — but apparently it takes other people upwards of half-an-hour. (We're sure they're exaggerating, but anyway.)

Thankfully, all those complaining have a friend in Sony Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida, as the executive feels your plight.

"I agree, it's very annoying when you only have one hour in your busy life to play a game, and when you have to spend 30 minutes out of that one hour to update the hardware," he told GameInformer.

"So it's not necessarily the frequency of how we update, it's like you said - intrusiveness - of the current processes that we have on PS3 and PSP. I cannot talk about specific plans, but we are very aware of the issues, and we'd like to address those issues on PS Vita going forward."

Presumably some form of background download system would alleviate the issue?
