Shake it!

Get Up And Dance will be hoping to start the Christmas party season off early when it releases in Europe on 4th November.

The Move dancing game will have stiff competition from PQube's Dance! It's Your Stage, Sony's Everybody Dance! (aka DanceStar Party) and of course the behemoth that is Just Dance 3.

The press release below uses an interesting British euphemism at one point. If that's an indication of the kind of quality we can expect from the gameplay, we're very excited.

GET UP AND DANCE DATED

Get Ready To Get Up And Dance This November With O-Games’ Floor-Filler

8th August, 2011 – Wellingborough, UK/… O-Games has today confirmed the release date for its floor-filling dance title, Get Up And Dance. The ultimate dancing game that everyone can play, whether you are the star performer or prefer to stay out of the limelight as a backing dancer, Get Up And Dance is set to strut its stuff on Nintendo Wii and PlayStation 3 on November 4th, 2011.

Featuring everything from classic funky disco tracks to current chart-topping hits, all complete with their official videos, there’s something for everyone to enjoy with Get Up And Dance. Get your friends round and get dancing together or have your very own dance off in Get Up And Dance’s Party Mode. Party Mode features party games that you can play with up to 8 mates, competing against each others teams with party games including Party Mix, Last Man Standing and Tug of War.

Had enough of competing against each other? Then band together and form your very own dance group with Get Up And Dance’s innovative Group Mode. You and up to three friends can choose to perform as either a lead or backing dancer to group routines specially choreographed for Get Up And Dance.

Group Mode also allows you to dance and have fun in a group or to participate in the talent competition, where you compete in ten rounds to see if you can dance your way to the top. Plus, with loads more features like Shape Up Mode, Rehearse Mode and Jukebox, Get Up And Dance really is the Ultimate Dancing Game package for home console owners.

Jim Scott, CEO of O-Games, said:
“Whether you think you’ve got the moves of J-Lo or Aunt Flo, Get Up And Dance provides stacks of variety and never forgets to be fun. We’re excited to be launching the game and are looking forward to announcing the first set of officially-licensed tracks from the impressive Get Up And Dance roster very soon.”

Get Up And Dance is developed by Gusto Games and is out November 4th, 2011 for Nintendo Wii and PlayStation 3 Move.
