Battlefield 3's Co-Operative Component Unfortunately Won't Support Split-Screen.

Unfortunately, those expecting to play the co-op objectives in split-screen multiplayer will be disappointed, as "you'll have to be online" to play the mode according to DICE's Karl Magnus Troedsson.

Despite the lack of split-screen support, DICE is aiming to keep the co-op missions as fresh as possible by introducing random events to enhance replay value. According Troedsson, objectives will take around 45-minutes to complete and will encourage team-work.
