Whatever Sony's New Dancing Game Is, We Hope It Doesn't Get A Stage Demonstration.

According to video game super-sleuth Supererogatory, new development upstarts Magic Pixel are working on a new dancing game for Sony. Remember when the platform holder registered all those Everybody Dance domains last month?

According to its website, Magic Pixel is made up of former EA, Activision and THQ veterans. Some of the team worked on the Wii's excellent Boom Blox. As such, it's no surprise to see the studio tout an "unparalleled grasp of human motion and physics to create unforgettable motion gaming experiences on console platforms".

The problem with dancing games on the PlayStation 3 is that neither the PlayStation Move nor the PlayStation Eye is capable of tracking full body motions. As much as it pains us to say it, Microsoft's Kinect is just much better suited to those types of experiences. Which is why this news is all rather baffling to us. Sony already has a dancing game, and it doesn't play to the strengths of the Move controller at all. Why not commission something that does?
