Dead Rising 2: Off The Record Will Retail At A Budget Price-Point.

Many were surprised and disappointed to learn that the character was not part of Dead Rising 2. As such, Capcom announced a remix of the sequel earlier in the year, called Dead Rising 2: Off The Record. The game is based on the same location as Dead Rising 2, but sports Frank West in the place of previous protagonist Chuck Greene.

This irritated some fans, who felt the game was a cash-in preying on the popularity of the Frank West character. But Capcom has put such worries to bed, announcing that Off The Record will boast new content and an attractive $40 price-point.

"There's a ton of added value here," executive producer Jason Leigh told Eurogamer. "We have the new environment, weapons, combo weapons, new clothing, food items, vehicles, new bosses and the new story. It's a much bigger game than Dead Rising 2 was."

Sounds reasonable to us. Fingers crossed Capcom's also fixed much of the jank associated with the Dead Rising series.
