Sony's Getting Back To Business, With Multiple PlayStation Store Updates Scheduled Upon The Storefront's Return.

With no estimated date for the Store's restoration, that number might end up increasing by two or three weeks. As such, Sony's got a lot of content to catch up on. In order to clear the backlog, Sony's confirmed in a FAQ on the PlayStation.Blog that it will update the PlayStation Store "multiple times per week once commerce functionality is restored".

"We will update the PlayStation.Blog with information on timing of the Store restoration as well as the full list of new content as each publish occurs," Sony added.

In a way, we can't help but feel a touch excited. PlayStation Store update days are always amongst the most exciting of the week [we lead exciting lives - Ed], so we're already feeling giddy at the prospect of multiple updates.

Sony also used the FAQ to detail more specific plans for individual games. The post notes that Sucker Punch will be expanding the inFamous 2 beta, with details to follow shortly. Additionally, Zipper Interactive is planning a number of activities to "re-engage" patient SOCOM 4 owners. Fans of Call Of Duty: Black Ops should also get excited, with a bunch of double XP events upcoming.

Details of the "Welcome Back" package are due to be announced shortly according to the platform holder, with the exact selection of content still being finalised. The way Sony are hyping things up, it better be good.
