Rayman Origins Is Now A Full Retail Release, Due Out In The Fall
Posted by Sammy Barker
Rayman Origins made a huge splash when it was debuted as a PlayStation Network title at last year's E3, but since the game's promising announcement, Ubisoft has kept the Michael Ancel-developed platformer shrouded in mystery
Until today that is.
According to GameInformer magazine [ via NeoGAF ], Origins is no longer a downloadable title and instead a full retail release. It will launch on PlayStation 3 at the end of the year.
The game will feature four-player local co-op, though online isn't mentioned. The levels are being designed with single-player and multiplayer in mind, so you can choose your preferred method of play. Apparently Ancel's also working on making the game more accessible than previous Rayman releases, while maintaining challenge for hardcore players through speed-runs and collectibles.
Presumably the game still looks gorgeous too. Expect this one to pop-up at E3.
