Retro Mortal Kombat Is A Reality With The Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection.

As such, there's no better time to return to the originals that made it all possible. After literally months of speculation, the developer has confirmed the Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection for PlayStation 3.

The $10 PlayStation Network download will launch in the Summer and is set to include the original Mortal Kombat trilogy complete with leaderboards and online multiplayer.

“We are very excited to finally have the first three Mortal Kombat games available in one download package for long-time and new fans to play,” said series creator Ed Boon.

“With the release of our 2011 Mortal Kombat, and its return to 2D game play, players have been asking for these classic titles and we are happy to deliver them.”

The collection is being developed by Other Ocean in collaboration with NetherRealm. Obviously, there'll be trophies up for grabs too.

As an additional promotion, GameStop is carrying an exclusive limited run of Klassic Mortal Kombat fight sticks built by PDP. Each stick will come with a free download voucher for the Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection.
