But one company that seems to have been hit hard by the disaster is Irem, who recently outright cancelled the release of Disaster Report 4 and the production of the rest of the series. Not content with pulling an entire popular franchise though, Irem's also announced that it's canned development of its Steambot Chronicles sequel for PS3.
It leaves the developer in a shaky position, with only Doki Doki Suikoden and Pachipara Slot in the developer's immediate lineup. Both games are due out on PSP. Worryingly, while apologising to fans, the company has pleaded with its followers to support the studio's upcoming releases.
Worrying times for Irem, then.
