We've Never Played Kenzan But Always Thought It Looked Kind Of Amazing.

Being such a Japanese centric series, it relies on the sales of its predecessors to warrant future Western releases. We're only getting Yakuza 4 (this week!) because of decent sales for Yakuza 3, and we assume a similar situation will occur with Yakuza: Of The End. But what of historical spin-off Ryu ga Gotoku Kenzan?

Posting on GAF, SEGA community representative RubyEclipse said there's always a chance of localisation if the Yakuza franchise continues to show growth in Western regions.

“The only potential problem I personally see with Kenzan is that it takes an already niche audience here in the States and may break it down even more,” RubyEclipse wrote.

“But there’s something to be said about other popular Samurai games, even though gameplay wise, Kenzan is still very much a Yakuza title.

“It’s amazing how much pre-orders can also help those numbers. Thank you to those fans reading this who already did pre-order, as even just one does make a difference in the end.”

We're doing our bit. Are you?
