PlayStation Plus Subscribers Need Never Worry About Their HDD Self-Destructing Again.

The service will allow players to store game saves online, with a maximum capacity of up to 1,000 saves or 150mb. The service will be accessible via a new icon on the XMB. What's cool is that the data can be accessed from any PS3, so you'll be able to make progress in one location, save to the cloud, and then hop online somewhere else to continue your game.

You'll need a Plus subscription to use the service. Sony's premium PSN model currently costs £39.99 for an annual subscription. Of course, in addition to the Online Storage application, Plus users also receive games, DLC and content worth "up to £200 a year". We can vouch for it. It's pretty good value, and it's only getting better.
