PlayStation Home Is Not For Everyone But It's Way Better Than It Used To Be.

Just to clarify: we don't have any financial ties to Home. The thing is, it really has improved.

Speaking with Develop, PlayStation Home's platform director, Peter Edward, has said that the service has come on "leaps and bounds" since its launch. He's right. Unfortunately, Home's biggest stumbling block is getting the critics to load up the application just to show them what's changed.

“I hear all the time ‘I logged on when it first launched but there was nothing there’ – but I urge people to go back on there. It’s been two years. We were always very proud of what we had achieved for launch, but we’re the first to admit it was basic back then,” he said.

“Two years down the line it has come on in leaps and bounds, is vibrant, full of cool content and great games to play. It’s free – those who aren’t going in there are really missing out. If you think Home is what it was two years ago, do yourself a favour and have another look, you won’t be disappointed.”

We can't help but feel like Peter's got an up-hill battle ahead of him. The service has improved dramatically. We know that. Some readers know that. But no matter how much we shout about it, we doubt the detractors will ever listen.
