Hot-on-the-heels of rumours that an in-development Mirror's Edge title has been cancelled, EA has told 1Up that the series is still "important" to them
The publisher, however, refused to comment on rumours that a sequel has been squashed, stating it has "nothing further to announce" regarding the immediate plans of the franchise.
Our guess is this: Mirror's Edge 2 was in development at DICE but has been put to the side while Battlefield 3 plans its full-scale assault on the Call Of Duty franchise. We doubt it's the end though. Mirror's Edge will return one day if demand stays high, best we can do is keep talking about it.
