Still stroking it around comfortably

While Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 may not have been the best demonstration of how to 'do' PlayStation Move controls, it easily beat the competition in terms of features, and successor Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Masters looks set to improve still further.

The biggest addition, you won't be surprised to learn, is the inclusion of the Masters for the first time in EA's franchise, letting you take your character through a career mode as an amateur before progressing to the PGA and Masters tournaments. If you're less serious about golf, you might be more interested in the new minigolf mode that lets you take on five courses of putt-putt in multiplayer. Gamers who put the time into Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 will be able to transfer their hard-earned experience across too, so they won't be totally wasted hours.

Interestingly, the box art for the standard edition of Tiger Woods 12 makes no reference to PlayStation Move, but the box art for the PS3-exclusive Collector's Edition does. Looks like we may have another Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition situation on our hands, but we'll do our best to get to the bottom of it.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Masters launches in North America on the surprisingly early date of March 29th, with a European launch on April 1st.
