The SOCOM Guys Are Infiltrating Killzone 3, Y'All.

Killzone 3's nearly out. But the cogs at Sony's overworked PR office keep turning; we've just realised we still know absolutely nothing about SOCOM 4's multiplayer component. That's not a problem though, because Sony's announced on the US PlayStation Blog that marked copies of Killzone 3 (Helghast and regular) are set to include access to the SOCOM 4 multiplayer beta.

Zipper's Chris Roper (Beyond!) explained on the PlayStation Blog:

"To get early access to the beta, look for the SOCOM 4 callout on the front of all eligible copies of Killzone 3 (including both the standalone and Helghast Editions). Inside the box you’ll find a PSN code that you’ll be able to redeem for your early access as soon as the beta goes live. To find out when the SOCOM 4 multiplayer beta begins, be sure to check back at SOCOM.com once you pick up your copy of Killzone 3, hitting shelves on February 22nd. We’ll have more information on the SOCOM 4 multiplayer beta itself in the near future."

You can check out Killzone 3's final US boxart right through here. The Helghast edition in particular is rather spiffing.

European SOCOM fans shouldn't feel left out either, as James Thorpe's confirmed on the European PlayStation Blog that PlayStation Plus subscribers are set to get "exclusive access to the SOCOM: Special Forces Beta [that's the same game by the way - Ed] when it goes live".

We loved what we played of SOCOM 4 at the back-end of last year. We're very excited to see how the multiplayer shapes up.
