SCEJ Might Be Tempted To Make A Demon's Souls 2 One Day.

Project Dark was announced at the Tokyo Game Show by Demon's Souls developer From Software, but it's coming to the XBOX 360. Sony owns the Demon's Souls IP, so while Project Dark might be a spiritual successor to Demon's Souls, it will never adorn the brand on the box.

Sony Computer Entertainment Japan's Takeshi Kajii has hinted that a true Demon's Souls 2 could be on the cards "one day", though there are currently no plans.

“At the moment, my answer is ‘no sequel!’,” Kaiji told The Guardian in an interview.

“However, we have been encouraged by all the players, and this title is so well supported, and besides we like this title so much.

“Well, this is my own feeling, but I think one day we could bring you another Demon’s Souls.”

We have serious issues with SCEJ. Do they actually do anything? Seriously, a big trump card in PlayStation's first-party development suite is that there's a whole Japanese studio there. But aside from Patapon, Kung-Fu Rider and Echochrome, we're struggling to think of big games that have come out of Japan Studio. We know Gran Turismo 5 and The Last Guardian are coming (apparently), but we'd like to see even more from SCEJ. They've been non-existant this generation.
