Resistance 3 Will Benefit From A Longer Dev-Cycle.

They've put more big budget titles onto PlayStation 3 than any other developer, but in 2010 they're having a break. Both Resistance 3 and Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One will launch in 2011, two years after Insomniac's last PS3 release, Ratchet & Clank: A Crack In Time.

Resistance 3's creative director Marcus Smith has told gamesTM that the decision is "music" to the studio's ears.

“Many of us now have children, and the reality of game development is that we need to maintain the quality, so something else had to change,” Smith told gamesTM.

“Extending the development cycle was the way to go. It was something we were discussing from the very beginning.”

We suspect the wait for Resistance 3 is going to be absolutely worth it.
