Update @ 12:07 BST: Now confirmed for the PlayStation Network on October 13th (12th in the US)

Microsoft's just slapped a date on Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1, scheduling it for October 13th (that's just a couple of weeks away by the way). Seeing as the source is Microsoft, we can't guarantee a same-week release for the PlayStation Network version, but we sincerely hope there's no timed-exclusivity nonsense going on.
Realistically, you can expect the same day on the PlayStation Network. We'll certainly be keeping our fingers crossed.
