What Could It All Mean? We Wonder...

" So we seek out a copy; be it a second-hand cartridge off eBay or a PSN download. We sit down, load the game up and lose our first fight. "Wh-?! What?" we declare in anguish, "Why is Mortal Kombat so slow, clunky and difficult?" We play about three rounds and then never touch it again.

Three or so years pass before we think to ourselves once more, "Y'know, we could really settle for some Mortal Kombat right now." So the scenario repeats.

As we type, we're considering playing some Mortal Kombat. And it looks like we might be in luck. After months of "Mortal Kombat Compilation" rumours, British retailer ShopTo.net may have just spilled the beans. They're listing a PlayStation 3 title called "MK Arcade Compilation". What could it mean? Well, the place-holder boxart shows a PS3 case with the Mortal Kombat logo on the front. We think it's pretty obvious what it means.

According to the website, the game's due in November. That would make sense, as the next proper Mortal Kombat title is due in the Spring of next year.

ShopTo.net note that the game includes Mortal Kombat 1, 2 and Ultimate. It also notes that the game will be in high-definition. We've no idea how you upscale MK.

ShopTo's listing an RRP of £19.99; is this something you'd be interested in?
