Sony's Actually Making Money These Days? GOOD GRIEF!

It's a dramatic turn-around for the company, who posted a loss of 25.7 billion yen over the same period last year.

Nikkei cites strong sales in China, strong performance of new SLR camera models, and strong sales of LCD televisions both domestically and abroad.

Interestingly, Nikkei also notes a turn-around in fortunes for Sony's game and mobile divisions. The site notes that cost-cutting has led to profitability for the divisions.
