PushSquare's Most Anticipated PlayStation Games Of Holiday 2010: Call Of Duty Black Ops.

Another Call Of Duty game. Fantastic, right? Well, yes, apparently. We didn't think Call Of Duty Black Ops would ever make this list either, but everything we've seen of the game over the past 12-months has truly stunned us. For a while now we've been discussing how the fallout from Infinity Ward might affect the team from Treyarch — and their whole attitude with this game strikes us as having something to prove. For a long time they've been labeled the "B-Team", despite putting out consistently high-quality games.

Given the disappointment attached to Modern Warfare 2's campaign (and the capitulation of Infinity Ward), we truly believe that Black Ops will be the title that puts Treyarch on top. Set during the Cold War, Black Ops will have players assume the position of operators participating in missions behind enemy lines. Early footage of the game reveals an enormous set-piece in which players control an armed helicopter, unleashing destruction on a valley.

If Call Of Duty: Black Ops keeps its plot-line cohesive, but its set-pieces sporadic and impactful, we truly believe it could be the best in the franchise. The basis is there, now the full package has to deliver. We've got high hopes for this, though.
