Since then we've longed for a patch but, sigh, it's never really come has it? Still, new maps all together might fix the balance problem, and thus we have some excitement for MAG's new $9.99 DLC pack, detailed today on the Playstation Blog.

Entitled Interdiction, the new pack will include a slew of new maps and an entire game type. The titular Interdiction mode sounds a little like a standard territory mode with a twist. Essentially, while capture points are held by a particular faction, they'll "steal" points from the opponent, while beefing up their own tally. This could lead to some excellent tug-of-war scenarios, which are really MAG's forte.

Interdiction will be playable across three new maps, and there'll be a new armour type for each faction included as a measure of goodwill. Of course, there'll also be trophies and new medals to earn, and hopefully a double points weekend to boot.

The more we type about it, the more hyped we get about jumping back into MAG. Despite the balance issues, it's still our favourite shooter this year.

The pack's due on the 22nd June.
