EA's John Schappert Frequently Spoke Of A "Special Relationship" With Sony.

A move which has long been considered Microsoft's forte, has seemingly been adopted by the upper-Gods at Sony, who offered EA a whole sub-segment of the press conference. From that we got two pretty huge announcements for PlayStation 3 owners - that both Dead Space 2 and Medal Of Honor would come in special, limited edition forms exclusive to the PlayStation 3 with packed-in goodies. In these cases - buy the PS3 version of the game, and you'll get a whole extra game on top... For free.

Dead Space 2 will come with an exclusive PlayStation Move enhanced version of the Wii's Dead Space: Extraction, while Medal Of Honor comes with an HD remake of Medal Of Honor: Frontlines.

And EA weren't the only publisher to sign-up to exclusive content. 2K's Mafia II will come with exclusive goodies only available on the PlayStation 3, as will Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood - which will land an exclusive multiplayer beta on the PS3 to boot.

With Microsoft seemingly unable to multitask between their new Kinect focus, it seems like Sony are going the full distance to capture everybody. It looks like their next step is closing the sales gap of multiplatform titles between the PlayStation 3 and XBOX 360. And when you're offering entire games on top of the competition for the same price, we imagine it's going to be pretty effective.
