OH - EM - GEE. Kratos Is Back On The PSP!

Sony's just announced that there'll be a new God Of War game on the Playstation Portable this year, God Of War: Ghost Of Sparta. What's better is that it's in development at Ready At Dawn studios, the house that were responsible from Kratos' last foray onto the PSP with Chains Of Olympus.

Early screenshots show that, once again, Ready At Dawn are pushing the Playstation Portable to ridiculous lengths. Seriously, the game looks unbelievable. Sony are promising "greater depth of scale" this time around aswell.

And what of the story? The Playstation Blog are revealing this much:
[quote]
"So serving as a prequel, this new journey picks up after God of War concludes, telling the story of Kratos’ ascension to power as the God of War. In his quest to rid the nightmares that haunt him, Kratos must face his dark past to prove his worthiness to the Gods — a journey that will reveal the origins of lost worlds, and finally answer long-awaited questions about Kratos’ tattoo, scar, and family. Armed with the deadly chained Blades of Chaos, he will once again have to overcome armies of mythological monsters, legions of undead soldiers, and amazingly dangerous and brutal landscapes throughout his merciless quest."</blockquote>

The game's due for release this year. No doubt we'll see much more of it at next month's E3. Man, we're so stoked. This announcement came out of nowhere and made our day.
