Killzone 3 & LittleBigPlanet 2 Are Known Quantities Before E3... Leaving?

Literally just weeks. If you'd have asked me a couple of months ago what I believed would be the biggest Playstation 3 titles to debut at the event I'd have said Killzone 3. I'd have said LittleBigPlanet 2. But both of those games have been announced - one officially, one unofficially. Killzone 3 leaked last night out of an issue of GamePro. The term "leaked" should be used loosely though - this magazine is due to go on shelves June 1st, roughly two weeks before E3. So, what you're trying tell me is that said games have been announced before E3? Wow...

It's "wow" because every platform holder wants to have surprises at their E3 event. Every platform holder wants huge announcements - big in-your-face moments that make the industry gasp collectively. Perhaps Killzone 3 and LittleBigPlanet 2 aren't those kind of announcements, but they are big stonking portions of Sony's line-up. And, we'll reiterate, they are being announced before E3.

It does kind of leave you wondering what they are saving for the show. What could possibly trump the announcement of these titles - you can speculate about the Syphon Filters, Starhawks and even inFamous and Resistance sequels, but for our money (though extremely exciting), they do not really trump the likes of Killzone 3 and LittleBigPlanet 2 which are huge announcements.

Therefore it really does leave open speculation as to what Sony will show. I'm sure we'll see more of these games - but for surprise content, what could they possibly have left? Rockstar's Agent would probably be the big-huge unveil that would fall in line with the already announced content, as would The Last Guardian. Still, these are all known quantities.

I'm at a loss - so I'm turning opinionator duties to you: what surprise package do you think Sony will unveil at E3? They must have something up their sleeve otherwise they wouldn't have weakened their hand pre-show. Something's coming and I can't even speculate what. I feel uneasy and excited.
