Ex-Microsoft Developers Bungie Are Going To Get Their Greasy Mitts On The PS3's Architecture.

The company described the deal with Activision as "great news for gamers".

“This is great news for all gamers,” said SCEA's Patrick Seybold in a statement. “When Bungie’s amazing talent and creative minds are unleashed and married with the incredible power of PlayStation 3, amazing things will happen. Ultimately, as a gamer, if you want the best content available from the industry’s most renowned developers, today’s announcement further signifies that PlayStation 3 will be the only place to get it.

“With last years amazing and award winning PS3 titles, to the roadmap and surprises we have for this year, the momentum for PS3 and PSN continues. I think I speak for everyone, when I say I can’t wait to learn about this new IP and world that Bungie is creating.”

So it's a very corporate, PR driven statement from Sony but there's no doubt everyone at SCE will be buzzing about the prospect of one of XBOX's elite studios coming to the Playstation. In fact - as gamers we should be pretty stoked to see what the studio can muster out of the PS3's hardware. We know we're very excited to see what they do.
