Respawn Entertainment To Focus On New IP, Not Battlefield Or Medal Of Honor

A few rumours circulating immediately after the announcement of Zampella and West's return to EA earlier today suggested that the duo's new studio, Respawn Entertainment, might be about to take control of either the Battlefield or Medal Of Honor franchises

Modern Warfare No More: Ex-Infinity Ward Men Will Work On New IP With EA Publishing.

That's absolutely not true according to EA Games boss Frank Gibeau.

Speaking with Kotaku, the EA man said that the ex-Infinity Ward staffers are all about new IP:

These guys are about pursuing their own IP. Internal to EA, weve got some incredible development and franchise happening with Medal of Honor and Battlefield. This is an EA Partners deal .., these guys have no roles in those franchises.

Zampella said that the company has yet to decide "what the games going to be yet, what the IPs going to be. But we think thats a good thing for us and our creative process.

Betcha £5,000,000 it involves guns, eh?
