David Jaffe Reckons People Overlook Actual Multiplayer Gameplay For Stats & Levels.

In the video, he describes his lack of interest in levelling and stats in multiplayer, and questions whether this "meta-game" (as he describes it) has become more important than the actual gameplay in a multiplayer mode.

Interestingly, Jaffe's currently running a poll on his site, questioning the focus of a potential "Twisted Metal" game.

We reckon, Jaffe, that the multiplayer gameplay is more important than the meta-game; but if you lock down the gameplay, why not implement the levelling and stats features aswell? After-all, you then offer the best of both worlds right?
