So, What Would You Be Happy To Pay For On The PSN?

With that in mind then, Sony really seem serious about making some cash of the Playstation Network. A survey sent out by IPSOS Online Research (via Kotaku) details some of Sony's plans; including unlimited free access to the PSone classics, cloud storage, game trials, and cross-game chat.

While we doubt cross-game chat will end up as a premium service (perhaps in a limited capacity for non-payers?) some of the proposed ideas from Sony sound really interesting. Cloud storage would allow you to back up your game saves virtually, making them accessible from any machine; game trials would allow you to play a full hour of Playstation titles before committing to their purchase; and, rewards schemes would presumably earn you redeemable credits for spending money in the Playstation Store — all very inoffensive and optional.

Our main concern at this early survey stage is that Sony are approaching different tier options (why not one catch-all service?) and a price of $69.99 which seems way too steep.

Still, you can peruse the survey here. If Sony get this right, we're actually quite excited.
