Borderlands may be the hottest thing on the gaming press' lips but it's unlikely to enjoy a demo pre-release
Speaking to Joystiq, a 2K rep clarified, "Everyone is really, really focusing on getting the game done for release ... that's not to say there will never be a demo, just not before launch."
Despite Borderlands being hyped to infinity by much of the gaming press, it's unlikely whether news of this will filter through to the less "tuned-in" gamer. A demo could do wonders for convincing said gamers why they should be all over Borderlands. Sadly, it's looking like it ain't gonna happen.
