Howard Stringer Is The Guy Tasked With Turning All This Around.

The Playstation platforms have all seen a drop in software sales. Playstation 3 shifted 14.8 million games during Q1 '09, which was down from last year's 18.9. Likewise PSP software was down from 11.2 million to 8.3 million.

Playstation 2 sales were down from 11.3 million to 8.5 million.

There is light at the end of the tunnel for Sony though. Despite operating at a 58.5Billion Yen loss, they've managed to make an improvement of 8Billion Yen on last year's figures. This is due to hardware cost reductions.

"We are all firmly committed to leading Sony with the innovative spirit that is embedded in its DNA," read a written statement from Sony Chairman, CEO and President Howard Stringer. "It is a privilege to fight for a great company like Sony, and with the seriousness of purpose that this management team possesses, I know we can succeed in making Sony greater than ever."</blockquote>

We guess the answer is, keep reading PushSquare and buying the games you want.
