Madden NFL 22: How to Get the Platinum

Madden NFL 22: All Trophies and How to Get the Platinum Guide 1

Madden NFL 22 has arguably the easiest Trophy list in the history of the series, and there's no real roadmap you'll need to follow in order to get the Platinum. This is because the Trophies are either gameplay specific challenges that you'll unlock organically overtime, or pertain to very specific conditions you'll need to complete in Franchise mode.

Many of the gameplay Trophies can either be unlocked against the computer on Rookie difficulty, and you can even alter the Sliders if you want to tip the scales more in your favour if you need to. Alternatively, you can use a second controller or boost these with a friend. You will need to win a match against another player in an online league to unlock Head-to-Head as well as the Super Bowl in an online league for Bragging Rights. As such, it's a good idea to find a pal who you can unlock these with.

Madden NFL 22: All Trophies

There are 20 Trophies to unlock in Madden NFL 22. Below you'll find a full list of all the game's Trophies, as well descriptions and strategies explaining how to get them.

Madden NFL 22 Master

Platinum: Congratulations on earning every Madden NFL 22 Trophy!

To get the Platinum Trophy in Madden NFL 22, all you need to do is collect the other 19 Trophies detailed below.

Primetime

Madden NFL 22: All Trophies and How to Get the Platinum Guide 2

Gold: Gain over 50 total yards while using Celebration Loco over the course of a single game.

To perform the Celebration Loco move, you just need to hold the L2 button while one of your wide receivers or running backs is sprinting to the endzone. This is a cumulative Trophy that you'll unlock over the course of a single game, and therefore you don't need to do it in a single play.

The best way to unlock it is to play on Rookie difficulty with Arcade settings. Use a team like the Kansas City Chiefs against a side with a weak secondary, and get the ball into Tyreek Hill's hands. Once you've broken free, hold the L2 button as you run towards the endzone. Do this on a handful of plays and you'll get the Primetime Trophy.

If you're still having trouble, either manipulate the sliders to heavily tip the gameplay scales in your favour, or connect a second controller and assign the defense a formation like field goal blocking. A player like Tyreek Hill will absolutely smoke that kind of coverage, allowing you to run to the endzone while holding the L2 button.

Unblockable

Madden NFL 22: All Trophies and How to Get the Platinum Guide 3

Gold: On 3 plays create a sack or tackle for loss after a pass rush move win, using a different rush move each time.

Pass rush moves require you to manipulate the right analogue stick in different directions as you enter a block with the opposing team's offensive line. Pick a team like the Chicago Bears and use the Circle button to take control of a player like Khalil Mack. You're probably going to want to pick a Blitz play, and to make things easier for yourself we'd recommend lowering the difficulty to Rookie with Arcade settings.

As your linebacker works to pressure the quarterback, push the right analogue stick in any direction. Down will Bull Rush, up will Rip, left or right will Club or Swim, and R2 will Speed Rush. Use one of these techniques to get the sack, and make a mental note of which move you used. You'll know you did the move correctly because a tick will appear next to the name of the move you tried to execute.

On the next snap, use a different move and repeat until the Trophy unlocks. You can use a second controller to make this easier if you'd like, as then you'll be able to rush a stationary quarterback.

Throwin' Dots

Silver: Throw a Passing TD using the low throw mechanic.

You can throw the ball low by holding the L2 button as you fling it to your chosen receiver. Move your team down the field and squeeze the ball in to a tight end using a stick play or something simple. Again, this will be much easier to execute on Rookie difficulty with Arcade settings, but if you're taking advantage of the low throw mechanic during gameplay you should pick it up organically eventually.

Lockdown Corner

Madden NFL 22: All Trophies and How to Get the Platinum Guide 4

Silver: Win 3 presses in a single game with the same CB.

Pick a team with a great cornerback, like Jaire Alexander of the Green Bay Packers or James Bradberry IV of the New York Giants, and then you want to enter Man coverage so that your cornerbacks are lined up against wide receivers. Select the best cornerback on your roster, such as one of the players mentioned above, and as the ball is snapped push the left stick in the direction of the approaching wide receiver and jam the X button to press. If you're successful, your corner should attack the wide receiver and impede their route.

You need to repeat this three times, with the same cornerback, in order to unlock the Trophy. If you're having difficulty on Rookie difficulty with Arcade settings, then you can try using a second controller. With the offense, run deep passing plays like a Hail Mary or a streak, so that your corner has plenty of opportunity to jam up against them and press.

Already in Progress

Madden NFL 22: All Trophies and How to Get the Platinum Guide 5

Bronze: Create a league from a Play Now Live game.

Every week of the real-life NFL season, EA Sports updates the Play Now section available from Exhibition with new match-ups. All you need to do here is play a full-length game, and once you've completed it — regardless of the result — you'll be asked whether you want to create a league in Franchise. Follow the prompts and you'll unlock this Trophy.

Change of Scenery

Madden NFL 22: All Trophies and How to Get the Platinum Guide 6

Bronze: Relocate a team.

Relocating a team is one of the most fun things you can do in Franchise mode, as it allows you to effectively rebrand an existing team. While you can unlock this naturally, it's easiest if you start a new Franchise and choose the Tennessee Titans, while also ensuring to Use Real-Life NFL Rosters. This is because their Stadium satisfaction level is pretty low already. You'll need to chose Change Role and select Owner in order to relocate. Also, it's best to begin at Preseason Week 1.

As soon as you start your new Franchise, scroll to Manage Team > Stadium > Relocate. Use the Advance Week option to simulate to the start of the Regular Season, then continue to simulate through to about Week 5. Over a series of weeks, you'll have the option to choose a City, Name, Uniform, and Stadium for your relocated Franchise. Once you've completed all of these activities, simulate to the Super Bowl and then Advance Week one last time. After that, your Franchise will be relocated and the Trophy will unlock.

Roster Reshuffle

Madden NFL 22: All Trophies and How to Get the Platinum Guide 7

Bronze: Complete a fantasy draft.

This is an incredibly simplistic Trophy to unlock, just select Franchise and Create New League. Once you have the option, select Use Active Roster > Starting Point > Fantasy Draft. Once you're in your Franchise menu, select Start Fantasy Draft > Start Drafting. You can skip the entire draft if you want to, but once you've finished it you'll get the Trophy prompt.

Pro Bowler

Madden NFL 22: All Trophies and How to Get the Platinum Guide 9

Gold: Participate in the Pro Bowl during a Franchise season.

There's a good chance, if the Franchise you're playing doesn't reach the Super Bowl, one of your players will be selected for the Pro Bowl, allowing you to unlock this Trophy organically through gameplay. However, if you're having trouble with this Trophy then there is an easy method. Simply go to Franchise > Create New League > Offline > Use Active Roster. Select one of the best teams in the game, like the Kansas City Chiefs, and Start Playing. Then go to Options > User Teams and use the triangle button to add at least two more player controlled teams to your Franchise.

You should focus on adding good teams, like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Baltimore Ravens, or Buffalo Bills. You're then going to Advance Week to the Play Offs. The Pro Bowl takes place a week before the Super Bowl, so just Advance Week until you get there. If you don't have the prompt to Play Pro Bowl, just switch to one of your other teams by selecting Options > User Teams. At least one will have player participating in the Pro Bowl. You can then simply play through the match to unlock the Trophy.

Head-to-Head

Silver: Win a Head To Head game in an online league.

In order to unlock this Trophy you will need to play with a friend, as it can't be done solo or alone. Follow the guide for the MVP Trophy to create or download a roster with a 99 overall team, and then make sure it's loaded. Once you've followed those steps, go to Franchise > Create New League > Online > Use Active Roster. Make sure it's an Online league otherwise this won't work. Select the team with a 99 overall rating and Start Playing.

Select Advance Week and then Sim to Regular Season. Pay attention to your opponent in Week 1, and then go to Options > Members and invite your friend to play as your Week 1 opponent. Once that's all setup, you'll need to Play Season Game against your friend. Be sure to beat your friend in the game in order to unlock the Head-to-Head Trophy. You can instruct your friend to select ridiculous formations, like field goal blocks to make it much easier to earn some touchdowns if you like.

Once you've finished the match, to unlock the Bragging Rights Trophy simply Advance Week and select Sim to Super Bowl. Because you're using a 99 overall team, you'll make the Super Bowl, and you can select Play Super Bowl. Win the game to unlock Bragging Rights as well.

Bragging Rights

Gold: Win the Super Bowl in an online league.

Refer to the Head-to-Head Trophy for more information.

Future of the Franchise

Madden NFL 22: All Trophies and How to Get the Platinum Guide 8

Gold: Reveal a rookie's X-Factor potential.

There's a good chance you'll reveal a rookie with X-Factor potential or a Hidden Dev Trait as you naturally play through Franchise, but if you're struggling to unlock the Trophy, select Franchise > Create New League > Offline > Use Active Roster. Start Playing, and once you're setup, select Advance Week and Sim to Draft. Save your game and select Start the NFL Draft. Your objective here is to make a note of who has the first pick in the draft.

Once you know, reload the save you made before the draft and go to Options > User Teams and press triangle to play as the team with the first pick in the draft. Select Start Playing to take control of that team, and then save one more time. Now you can Start the NFL Draft. Essentially, you need to keep picking players until you unlock the Stud Finder Trophy for drafting a rookie with a Hidden Dev Trait.

The next step is to Skip Ahead to the End of the NFL Draft and Advance Week to Midseason. You'll have the option to Upgrade Players. Select this and find the rookie that you selected as the first overall pick. Go to Overview > Edit Player > Player Traits and select Superstar X-Factor under the Development option. Then quit back to the Upgrade Players menu and reselect the player to get the Trophy.

To unlock the ROTY Trophy, go back to Edit Player as explained above, go to Player Traits and upgrade all of the statistics to 99. You can then Advance Week to the Super Bowl and Advance Week one more time. There's a a very high chance at this point that you'll unlock the ROTY Trophy as well as potentially MVP. If you don't get either, then refer to the MVP Trophy for more instructions.

Stud Finder

Bronze: Draft a rookie with a Hidden Dev Trait.

Refer to the Future of the Franchise Trophy for more information.

Big Spender

Gold: Win a free agent bidding war for a 90+ OVR player.

Refer to the Dealmaker Trophy for more information.

Dealmaker

Gold: Re-sign a 90+ OVR player.

Follow the guide for the MVP Trophy to create or download a roster with a 99 overall team, and then make sure it's loaded. Once you've followed those steps, go to Franchise > Create New League > Online > Use Active Roster. Go to League Settings and turn the Salary Cap to Off. You can now Start Playing your new Franchise.

Once you're into the Franchise menu, select Advance Week and select Sim to Offseason. Once you've reached the Offseason, go to Players Ready to Negotiate and seeing as all of your players are ranked 99, you just need to re-sign one of them. Give them a great contract to ensure at least one of them re-signs with you, and you'll unlock the Dealmaker Trophy.

To unlock Big Spender as well, return to the Franchise hub and select Advance Week. Any players that you didn't resign will be available in free agency, so select Sign Free Agents and put a bid on one of your former players.

MVP

Gold: Win MVP with one of your players.

It's possible you'll unlock the MVP Trophy while following the steps for Future of the Franchise. However, if it doesn't work as intended, then create a custom roster using Settings > Edit Roster. You'll want to upgrade any of the players, including Rookies for ROTY, to 99 overall ratings and then save it. Alternatively, you can find a roster to download by going to Settings > Share & Manage Files > Download Community Files. Just look for one that has a roster where all of the players are 99 overall.

Once you've edited or downloaded a roster, go to Settings > Share & Manage Files and load your custom roster. Once that's done you can go to Franchise > Create New League > Online > Use Active Roster and select the team with edited rosters. With all that done, start your Franchise and Advance Week to the Super Bowl. You should unlock both the MVP and ROTY Trophies if you haven't already.

ROTY

Gold: Win Rookie of the Year with one of your players.

Refer to the Future of the Franchise Trophy for more information. If you don't get it following those instructions, then refer to the MVP Trophy instead.
