@RogerRoger That’s a really interesting take on Origins. Arkham City is actually my favorite, with Asylum close behind (which is why I gave it a point here), but I never played Origins. A City had me pour so many hours into it that I kind of got a little Arkham fatigue by the end I think. Even A Knight just didn’t seem to grab me the way the first two did, despite it being a well developed high end project. I have essentially put away my PS3, but a remaster for PS4 would interest me, now that I see the critical reception was possibly unfair.

I have a horrible feeling I'm gonna write this reply and post it right in the middle of the round results, so apologies in advance if I mess up the flow.
EDIT: Phew, didn't mess things up too much... right, I'll go vote in a separate post...
@Kidfried@Wesker@Th3solution The bugs are frustrating and almost ever-present, but I've always managed to look beyond them because the rest of the content and intentions of the game are so incredible. If you're picking it up on PS3, that's perhaps the worst-performing version... but it's also the only version I've ever had, and it does perfectly fine in the important moments. Just expect the odd crash early on; it seems to get more stable as it goes along.
If you play it right after another Arkham game, especially City, then I wouldn't blame you for feeling a little fatigued. On a very basic level, you're doing the exact same things (glide around, find map icon, punch bad guys, do light puzzle for Collectible #147, grapple up, glide around, find map icon, rinse, repeat) but there's just a cohesiveness to everything in Origins that I find more appealing than the collect-a-thons in all the other Arkham games.
It also has a greater variety of things to do on the crowded map. I was really frustrated with a certain gaming website (naming no names; not Push Square) which recently posted an article about a holographic crime scene reconstruction in Arkham Knight, saying how wonderful it is... and they're right, it is, but at no point did the article mention that the entire mechanic was lifted from Origins. There are four or five of them in the main story and another six or seven pop up as optional side quests (whereas in Knight, memory tells me that there were only two of them, and they weren't as elaborate). They invite you to piece together an entire crime from beginning to end, scan the evidence and then go off and bring the culprit to justice... and they're pretty simple, push-button affairs, but they're incredible at tricking you into feeling like a detective, rather than the stylish brawler and part-time wall detonator Batman was in the other games.
Plus, Firefly. I won't say anything further for anybody planning to give the game a try, but Firefly. Probably my favourite boss fight of all time.
@Ralizah You're not alone. I very much like Arkham City, but it's my least favourite of the franchise. The plot feels somewhat disjointed and the atmosphere isn't as unique as the other games, it just kinda... happens. The individual moments are great, but nothing holds them together.
Incredible that, in a group with the two most popular CoDs, it's the Bat with the most votes. Quite surprised to see some of those go out... and from the entire original trilogy, Crash 3 is the one that goes forward? Really?!
@themcnoisy Continued thanks for this contest, sir. You're a machine.
My point allocation for this round is as follows.
5 points to GoldenEye 007
5 points to Horizon: Zero Dawn
1 point to Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
1 point to Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords
@themcnoisy Your pro tip is exactly what I did last round too!
Fallout 3 - 1
Final Fantasy 6 - 5
Final Fantasy 7 - 1
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas - 1
Horizon Zero Dawn - 4
Apparently the letters F until H hold less games of my liking. As might be clear from my score there were just two that really stood out to me. There's a lot of fun to be had with the others, but they don't feel as meticulously crafted as Horizon and FF6.
Final Fantasy 7- 1 point
God of War 2- 4 points
Grand Theft Auto 3- 1 point
Horizon Zero Dawn- 1 point
Kingdom Hearts 2- 5 points
Some tactical voting here, but KH2 & GOW2 need all the points they can get & Horizon seems like it'll do fine.
