@themcnoisy just a little clarification please, when you say at least one forum member must have the same choice, do you mean if we both picked the same game E.G. Resident Evil? Or we both have to have the same games to go through and the one to get knocked out together?

@adf86 the exact same choices. The idea is basically everyone has a chat about the games and then come to an agreement before posting their final choice. Obviously there could be massive differences suffice only needing 2 in each group to agree. We will run it through twice so you will be with 2 different groups of forum users.

I can see a number of potential flaws with this system ("Person A and B hating a game person C loves and forcing it out", "It's gonna take a lot of effort to get a vote in daily and it'll clutter up the thread" to name a few examples), but sure, I'm in. Can't promise I'll remember to vote everyday though.

I actually want to see this happen later on in the round so its not so much a negative although it will cause a debate for sure! Also there are enough games to start so it shouldnt be an issue initially and 15 of the main favourites are already through to round 4 anyway as a make safe.

You wont vote everyday, we are running it until 20-24 games are out of the cup dependant on the users getting involved, 2 groups a day will be in play, I will give you a shout via the @doopliss when its your turn

This could go wrong to be fair but with all the debate going on in the normal votes anyway I think this could be fun! Then we will be back to another set of vs battles and leagues before we crown the top 25 and winner!

Ah, I see. I'm still having kind of a hard time visualizing the entire process (Like what happens if the groups have opposing votes on a title being in/out), but I'm sure thing's will become clear once we actually start. Thanks for the clarifications.

@themcnoisy Got it. If it was any other community I would say a round like might not work but this is Push Square and I can't see a reason why it shouldn't.

@themcnoisy Does everyone still get to vote on every game by the way?

@doopliss haha maybe I have gone a bit too far this time but @adf86 has the idea, the community here are a class act so I think it will work. If it becomes apparent the rounds a bust we will cancel it and move on.

@Octane yeah all the games in Round 3 (all 64 of them 17 are already in round 4) are up for discussion. We are only taking out around 20 games this way and then we will be back on the more standard voting structures.

@kratosMD of course you can bro. Pity your not joining in. Feel free to change your mind, this stuff is right up your alley as you have great points of view.

@themcnoisy I'll take your word for it, I am quite new here after all. If I can make a suggestion though: Instead of locking all three votes together, Why not judge "Throughs" and "Outs" separately? So if the group votes:

Person A: Through: TLoU, Skyrim. Out: TR2
Person B: Through: TLoU, Skyrim. Out: MGS5
Person C: Through: SF4, Skyrim. Out: TR2

Then TLoU and Skyrim are Through due to Person A and B, while TR2 is Out due to Person A and C. This allows for more flexibility if neither person can come to a complete agreement, and lowers the risk of one person getting stone-walled.

@themcnoisy Sorry mate, I am going to have to stop it there. Unfortunately since this is a public forum having only certain people being able to vote is against the rules I am afraid. Yes I understand it's voulntary and people can choose if they want in and such but making it so isn't keeping it public I am afraid. You might want to revise this phase maybe even go back to the forumla you used last phase.
