I know it won't because it is on PS3 and 4. Regardless, I am wondering if this will get people to buy a bigger memory card since it is digital and lastly is this really a AAA Sony funded ip or is it an Indie?

It's an indie developer I believe but fully funded by Sony, so it's kinda of a similar deal with Journey.
I personally really like the Vita as it is myself. Furthering what you say, @adf86 - I'd rather take Shovel Knight over another portable Uncharted, but that's just me.
If your of the mind that the Vita needs saving, that desire will never be satisfied for you. I dont subsrcibe to that notion myself as I believe its a good enough system as it is with enough unique experiences to stand on its own. I picked up a Playstation TV a few weeks ago & it now sees more action than my Ps4 &Ps3 as it has a really good library. Review codes dropping for Criminal Girls & Hyperdevotion Noire have helped, but titles I've bought like Killzone & Freedom Wars have turned out good, as well as ones I had from my PSVita days like EDF & TxK (to name a couple). This years looking stellar for Vita too.
But to be fair, what could save the Vita at this point, not even Sony is trying anymore
I agree and just because the Vita is dead like everybody claims it is doesn't mean vita owners can enjoy what's left of it apparently...
People still want that mythical "AAA exclusive" apparently. Sod that, I can't wait for Shovel Knight.
You mean the mythical game that every console has except the Vita because Sony was too lazy to actually give the console a chance ? Killzone could have been, but lets be real, that game only made me realize how much of a novelty are FPS on handheld, they "work", but thats about it
What im saying doesnt mean A) Vita is a bad console or B) Vita is dead to existing users, but theres not much incentive to get one either
And to answer your original question, no it won't save the Vita, but in MY book it doesn't need saving and I will play the living hell out of this game, on Vita and PS4! That is all.

Top 5 Indies I'd recommend you try: #1 Lovecraft's Untold Stories, #2 Moonlighter, #3 Hotline Miami, #4 Inside, #5 Into the Breach.
