Topic: Vita collecting dust - NO Games.

I bought Vita at launch. For a good while I've had a lot of fun on it. But the last 4 months or longer i have hardly used it and it is just collecting dust and not being used as much as I'd like.

I have games:
Uncharted - This was a lot of fun.
Rayman - Looks beautiful, sadly like the above game, once you've finished it, and completed the additional challenges, not much left.
MGS HD Collection - Spent a lot of time on this game. A lot of long gameplay that could be found.
UMVC3 - Fun for a little while, but then boring. Plus once you haven't played it for a while, you forget any combos you've learnt and the story is pretty weak.
NFS Most wanted - This is fun for a while, i got it for christmas, and after finishing it in about a week, run out of use from it.

I've recently been doing searches to see if there's any exciting games coming out for it, but i don't see ANYTHING. It just doesn't seem interesting at all. Final Fantasy X HD probably will be worthwile, even though this is a game I've finished before hand back on the PS2.

It's making me consider selling the Vita, and getting a PS3, just because i won't run out of options of games to look into for a LONG LONG time.

I know there's recent price cuts in some countries, but the games are really lacking, to the point of me buying a PSone classic "Hercules action game", and whilst this is initially fun, it's barely a few hours over the course of a few days.

Anyone feeling the same on this?

Not at all.

I have a ps3,xbox,ipad,smart phone, vita. An my time is mostly Vita believe it or not.

If you are looking for some other game to fill up your time, try persona 4, Sly Cooper, gravity Rush. These games are great and should keep you going for awhile.

I think the idea that Vita has no games is slowly dying away. It has a lot off games. Probably just missing the big budget AAA games.

I don't recommend selling the Vita. Well, I almost got your case, got uncharted, rayman, gravity rush. Finished them, and now nothing to do with it. But there's one thing you're forgetting. If you're planning getting the PS4, a Vita is a must! It's a controller with a screen, plus you can stream ps4 games from day 1! I'm keeping my vita for my future PS4!

I can't qualm your concerns about future games much, but if you get P4G you're looking at at least 80 hours until the credits role by, plus its the best game on the Vita and on any Sony console in my opinion. (aside from P3 that is)

I cannot relate at all. I have lots of 3DS and PS3 games I need to play, but I still always pick up my Vita every night. You did not mention a single downloadable game, which are actually my favorites on the Vita. Mutant Blobs, Retro City Rampage, Sound Shapes, the best version of PvZ, Ecolibrium, Treasures of Montezume Blitz, Pure Chess, Dokuro, Zen Pinball 2, and, of course, Motorstorm RC. A very addicting game to platinum.

It looks like you enjoy a wide range of genres. If you like platformers you'd probably like LittleBigPlanet -- with limitless content. Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward is a terrific sequel to 999 if you like visual novels and puzzles. Persona 4 is a ridiculous amount of content, as is Disgaea 3. Of course you should try Gravity Rush as well, as it is many people's favorite Vita game.

Coming this year is Tearaway, Soul Sacrifice, and Killzone. Bit.Trip Runner 2 will be perfect on the Vita, and hopefully Guacamelee finally releases soon.

But seriously, I pick up the Vita every night even if it's just to mess with Ecolibrium or Treasure Park or Frobisher Says.

You don't own Persona 4 Golden. Don't complain about a lack of games to play until after you get that one.

Get Persona 3 while you're at it. With those two games, you'll be playing your Vita everyday for the next 3 or so months.

Honestly, I feel I have too many games for Vita.
Here's a list of unfinished games (each of which, I strongly recommend) I've been playing the past 2 or 3 weeks:
1. Persona 4. Technically, I finished the story..but I'm playing this sucker again. One of/if no the best games of all time.
2. Ragnarok Odyssey
3. Sly Cooper 4
4. Ecolibrium (can't really finish it, but the challenges are a lot of fun)
5. DJMAX Technika Tune
6. Jet Set Radio
7. Gravity Rush
8. Assassin's Creed 3 Liberation

Those are just the games I've been trying to finish lately... I have plenty more unfinished lol. You mentioned you finished NFS in a week, but have you tried getting the platinum yet? If not, I recommend it. it's a pretty fun/easy platinum and gives you something to work for. If trophies aren't your thing, you have a TON of amazing PS1 and PSP games on the PSN. Have at it.

I feel the same way as you. I've had to delete plenty of games off of my Vita in order to keep what I want on the system. I'm not entirely sure of what games are free for PS+ in the UK, but I still haven't touched a lot of games that I've downloaded because I've been busy playing other games on my Vita.

I think that getting a PS3 is a great idea, but I don't think that should come at the expense of selling your Vita; you'll probably regret it.

^^ Pointless reading that, sounds like you're enjoying yourself, /internet rage.

As for everyone else. I have played other games,
Little big planet i had rented, and it was OK, but not my type of game if im honest.
Disgea 3 - Had zero interest in this, sent it right back.

Now, persona 4, what is this like? Is this like any Final fantasy games, RPG like? I've tried looking up it and watching some videos, but if im honest, don't understand much of it, lol.

Gravity rush - I tried the demo, and didn't like it much, just couldn't enjoy it, despite hearing it's good reviews, it's not for me personally.

I'll look up Sly Cooper to find out more on this.

I will let someone else explain Persona 4. When I read about this game, I was never going to get it. A JRPG with Social school dating. What !!! How could that ever work.

Then this game starting getting mid 90's review scores. An many people saying how great it was. So I picked it up.

I was quickly addicted to this game. I spent 80 hours plus.

BTW You original posting is very fair. You played some game, now bored of the vita. I cannot say I am experience the same, but I understand your point of view.

I just wish i was getting much more use out of it than i currently have. I often look on the PSN to see if there's anything i can try out, but kind of at a point where I haven't played a "good" game in a while to keep me occupied and now looking for something to get me back into it.

It's not worth selling though, what with the PS4 coming up, but hoping to get some use from it besides that.

I could get Persona 4 seeing as it's my birthday a week from today, but seems a big gamble buying a type of game i may not like at all, despite the reviews.

Can't say I've had the same problem. I use the Vita probably more than I do my 360 or PS3 since I bought it.

I'm thinking of trying playstation plus, doesn't seem as useful for the vita though.

PS+ is very well worth it if you own a PS3 and a PS Vita
With just a Vita, I'm not sure I'd recommend it.
It seems like most of PS+ games that are offered are for PS3.

Whilst I think it is true ps plus offers less for psvita owners in terms of games. I think the perks of cloud storage are realy helpfull with keeping your memory card space free.

I love how people say there are no Vita games.

There are over 100 retail titles in every market, equal that (or more) in network and online-bought-only games too. There are a ton of PSOne classics, and PSP games available, and a list as long as my arm of games being released this year with TBA dates (could be any time). The lack of games is actually a lack of marketing, not an effectual lack of games.

Well, in order to use cloud storage effectively, you'd either need to do A LOT of manual upload/downloads, or simply keep the saves on your card. Overall, I don't think it really helps with storage issues.

That said, I'd say even the current list of free games and monthly cloud storage alone is worth the $50/yr for me. Being one who has lost a lot of game saves in my past, cloud storage is almost a requirement for me lol.
