Hello guys,
I am debating on whether or not that I should get the Playstation Vita.
(in terms of Playstation) I have a PSP and a PS2. I will sell my PSP and my games to get a PS VITA.
Also, what 10 games do you think I should get for the hand-held if I get it?

I could probably name 50-60 good games for it, counting bigger budget and indie games. 10 to start with? Gravity Rush, Freedom Wars, Tearaway, LittleBigPlanet Vita, Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Dragon's Crown, Muramasa Rebirth, Velocity 2X, Killzone Mercenary and Mortal Kombat.

I think you need to ask yourself if you really enjoy JRPGs and Indie titles as these make up the majority of vita library. If you do then the vita is easily worth your money as it has a great selection of both plus psone classics and a large psp library to boot. As mentioned above there are also a selection of bigger budget and more mainstream games available but I'd argue these are somewhat in the minority. The vita also has a nice selection of visual novel games if your interested in those some games I'd recommend would be Persona 4 Golden (JRPG), Dangonronpa 1 or 2 (visual novel/detective game), Hotline Miami (top down arcade action game) Olli Olli (sidescroller skate board game) in terms of memory cards a 16gb card has plenty of room as other cards can get quite expensive (most indies come in under 1 gb with many even under 500mb and the biggest game size I've seen is 3.5 gb which was for hd collections such as Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank, Sly Cooper and Metal Gear Solid) also you can have have the first 10 final fantasies plus tactics on one system if your a fan which is pretty cool

Great Platform, but quite formally obsolete. Short term it's great for commutes or the toilet, long term it has no future.

@Gamer83: W
I saw freedom wars for £22 in Game last week. Is that worth the price? What is it as I have literally no idea.

@DarkmarkUnited: The big problem I have with the vita is a) memory cards and b) I don't have spare time. I suppose if I had more time A) wouldn't be a problem as I would finish more games, delete and move on. But a plethora of unfinished games are clogging up my memory card. I will give an example I started Wipeout 2048, Frobisher says and little deviants on the day I got it. I quickly bought loads of my favourite ps1 games and deleted wipeout etc off my card. I now want to play them again but cant be bothered redownloading them off the terribly slow vita psn. It's a crap and reasonably silly reason not to own the Vita, which otherwise is good. But buy a 32gb memory card at the absolute minimum.

@themcnoisy: I'd personally say wait for it to come on sale on the PSN, I'm sure I picked up my copy for around a tenner. It's a weird one to try and describe, it's a little like Monster Hunter with guns and giant robots. The main reason I've struggled to get into it though is that the control scheme is absolutely god awful.

If you did want to get it right away though, I'd get it from here - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-711719291084-Freedom-Wars-Playst... for around £15.

Definitely recommend looking at some videos of the game first though to see if it's your kind of thing. I've been meaning to go back to it, as I've heard it is decent but I think it needs more perseverance than I gave it first time round to really get into it.

@Hego Well, I do have Final Fantasy 3 and 4 on my DS and The World Ends With You on the DS as well (I really love the latter game, SIGH I wish that they made a sequel.) I heard of Persona 4 as well, may get that one and (thanks for the advice) will get Ratchet and Clank, Metal Gear Solid and God of War collections physically.
@themcnoisy @SteveButtler2210 That's a LOT of money for a ps vita game (£15= $30.25 CAD) 😴 but may get it for a sale. Or download it for a cheaper price. Thanks Anyways!

Persona 4 golden is the main reason to buy a Vita, I would have said Gravity Rush but now it is coming to PS4 so no need to get a vita for it

Legend of heroes second chapter is out today and playable on the vita or your psp. The first game is $10 here in the states today as well. I love the vita and we also have legend of heroes trails of cold steel coming later this year. I'd recommend hanging onto your psp though. You can still find some outstanding games for it and unless it's really rare most are very affordable now.

I got mine a few months back and kinda regret it. I'm not a fan of Japanese games and that is like 90% of the games on Vita.

If you are in to those kinda games then it's a must have haha.

@DarkmarkUnited: Oh man The World Ends With You was so good, without a doubt one of the best handheld games I've ever played. Can't believe young foolish me actually traded it in years ago! I'd completed everything in it at the highest levels, so figured I'd never touch it again, but now I would love to go back to it!

I love mine- as a fan of handhelds. I'm more of a Nintendo guy, but I like my Vita to change things up a bit. There's a ton of games for it- don't believe all that you hear. I'd recommend it- but it also depends on what kind of games you like and are expecting.

I like mine I play it more than my 3DS the only thing is that you will need a 8-16gb memory card that is around 20-40 dollars for one get 8 I if you play physical games and download only a few games get 16gb if you download games every now and then. Best games PS1 Classics final fantasy games are good any of the rpg games
PSP ratchet and clank size matters and monster hunter psp game
Ps vita Tearaway, little big planet and a few more on the list.
Next get a system case and screen protector

@mr_snout Yeah, i'm also more of a Nintendo fan. I prefere a Wii U over a PS4 anyday or DS and PSP, but I do have to admit, There are some PS4, PS VITA and PSP games that I wish were on the Wii U, 3DS and DS

It is a personal choice, one no one else can make for you. I personally think you'd enjoy it.

The 1000 or original model has a OLED, which is a better screen/resolution (looks great), but the battery life is abysmal at around 4 hours
the 2000 or slim model has a lower res LCD screen, but still looks fairly nice, with a battery life of about 6hrs, and it has I believe 1GB of internal memory.

PSN: Xtreme_playa187

I'll take the Vita to the grave with me, even if Sony won't.

SteveButler2210

@DarkmarkUnited: I would personally argue that the better screen on the original models is worth the trade off in terms of battery life - 4 hours is fine for day to day use, and most short holiday flights, and for anything longer you'll generally be in a position where you can use a charger, eg long train or car journeys.

The 1GB internal memory is pretty much irrelevant, as you'll be wanting to buy the largest memory card you can afford to get the most out of it.

Personally I would definitely recommend the original - better screen and you should be able to get it cheaper, allowing you to invest in a bigger memory card / more games using the money you save
