Topic: PlayStation TV Stick Idea

So remember that PS TV? I feel like that was a good idea that was poorly executed. Could've been a moderate success if effort was put into it.

So how about a shaming ready streamstick? Runs a stripped down version of PS4 is and streams media while also streaming PS Now and uses PS4 remote play.

Anyone have any input on it?

I think it's too late now personally. The market is too crowded, and there's no room for another one of these. They'd be better off creating PlayStation apps for Amazon Fire Stick, et al.

Do they need too? Most TV's have 'smart' function these days and a lot have PSNow too...

At this point, I feel anything running Vita hardware/software is too late. PlayStation TV should have dual booted Vita OS and Android OS. As a media player, Vita OS is pretty terrible making the PlayStation TV (in a stick or not), not all that great for multipurpose use. It was fantastic for Vita games on a big screen and for remote play, but I would have preferred to see it compete with some of the other 'tv' devices.

Also I am not sure but I thought I read somewhere that one of the sticks, not sure if it was Amazon, Chromcast or some other one that had the PS NOW app on it.

I believe threre is room for a stick - but the rest have been rubbish, they are usually fiddly to put on your tv and lets be honest - none of us can be bothered pulling our huge tvs out every time. Even my firestick sits in its box 99% of the time and all my movies are on it.

A box that dosent take up a plug socket and has a great controller. That is the answer.

@themcnoisy: I don't know, I get alot of use out of my Roku Stick. I don't see why you would need to get behind your tv for it more then once, just plug it in and leave it. I am lucky though all my tv's HDMI ports are on the side.
