Topic: Permanent Vita Price Drops

A week or two back Sony dropped the prices of loads of stuff in the Vita store permanently, but didn't detail it on the blog, and there is no way to easily view these price drops all in one place when looking in the browser-based version of the store. I did actually notice this when it first happened, but mistakenly thought it was an unadvertised sale - it was only yesterday I realised the price drops were permanent! Just thought it was worth flagging this up to people as it hasn't actually been covered anywhere yet as far as I can tell.

To see what prices have been dropped, go to the native Vita PSN store and look for the section called (I think) "Big Savings". I'm 99% certain these are all permanent price drops, as the ones I looked at don't have an end date, and the changes aren't significant enough for them to be sale prices.

Most of the price drops aren't great, but still definitely worth a look at, particularly the 2 Vita Disgaea titles dropping to £15. I will try and get a full list typed up later when I have access to my Vita and wi-fi, just thought I'd get this posted now before I forget!

From 16/08/15 I’m going for sober for six months to raise money for the Princess Alice Hospice. Donations can be made here and anything you can offer is greatly appreciated: https://www.justgiving.com/Stephen-Butler5

Wish me luck!

Thanks for the heads up! On an unrelated note hows the sobriety challenge going?

@Hego: Really well man, thanks for asking! On Saturday it will be 7 weeks since I last touched a drop of alcohol - it's been tough at times (had a couple big events for mate's leaving dos etc), but still going strong! Been sticking to mostly soft drinks purely for the price, but on a couple days I've "treated" myself to some non-alcoholic beers, which are actually a lot nicer than I thought they'd be

Going to Spain in just over a week though, and then it's my birthday on 22nd October, so I think this next month is going to be one of the hardest! On the positive side of things I've started going to the gym, I'm saving a load of cash, and I've found myself more motivated to do things than I've been in years - so much so that I'm now actually studying my Maths A Level via distance learning, with a view to sitting the exams (6 of them!) in May/June next year and hopefully getting myself a full time place on a Computer Science degree starting next year. Scary stuff for someone who's not studied in 5+ years, but exciting times on the whole!

Tl;dr - I'm not out of the woods yet, but I'm still going strong, raising a good bit of cash for a good cause, and generally working hard to better myself. Good times!

I was in Spain all inclusive in June and I was ruined. Unlucky that's gonna be hard. I'm permanently off the booze now probably wont drink ever again after my 4 day mega hangover were I thought I was melting into my bed and shuffling to and from the bathroom to throw up yellow stuff into the basin. Booze is evil.

On this subject of vita price drops - the games are overpriced. Has anyone ever spent over £25 on a vita game?

@themcnoisy: No I usually pick up games for the vita during the sales I may be part of the problem of why Sony's ignoring it!

@themcnoisy: I'd be seriously hard pressed to think of any times where I've spent more than a fiver on a Vita game! Think Persona 4, Tearaway and the FFX/X-2 collection are the only ones, and even then I got them for around a tenner on sale!

Is it just me or have new games been added to the retro sale? I'm sure the Suikoden games weren't in there before?? Not sure if it was a problem with the browser based store, but 90% of the stuff in the retro sale wasn't showing there when I first looked. About to go on a binge, and I take back any complaints about lack of a sale haha!
