once you actually gain control of Kat and get to explore the open world yourself

Open world?

Not a huge one, but yeah. I've spent much of my time exploring it to find crystals to upgrade Kat. That, and just running around using the gravity powers.

Got it and to my surprise it seems to support a single game. Is not that you may have user A playing with its savegame slot, user B another savegame slot and so. So it seems to be 100% single user

Only because of that I rate it with a plain 0 and no worth buying if your vita is used by more than one person.

EDIT: The game starts allowing you to select savegame slots in chapter 3.

Interesting. I do think that it is probably uncommon for more than one person to use a single Vita. A "solution" is to just buy two memory cards I guess. Probably not a bad idea if you are sharing frequently anyways.

As for GR, I've not gotten a hold of it yet. I've been in MGS mode since Tuesday but pretty interested in this title. I thought the demo was dull personally, but with the amount of praise this game is receiving, it's probably worth checking out.

Not impressed at all about this game. Quite nice graphics, but pretty poor everything else (story, action, music << This one is really terrible, characters, etc).

Really? I can see how it's a little overhyped, but by no means do I agree with negativity. It's too short is the most valid thing I've heard.
Love the music. Love "falling" combat is less than tops, but hey. Kat kicks.

The game is pretty original, the graphics are really outstanding, but I'm not able to enjoy it. On the other hand I believe this game will be greatly acclaimed in Japan.

Just got a Platinum and I have to say this game's absolutely amazing. I could see how it boils down to personal taste, personally the game gave me a "Bayonetta" feel which kept me playing. I also agree with mostly all of your points @Mandoble just not to an extent. The story has shallow characters, the game is short, and again the story seems to be all over the place. For me, the originality and the fun of combat overshadows any gripes I have towards the game. The game hinted at a sequel several times, bring it on Japan Studio!

Ive just spent the last 90 mins just collecting gems, no missions just flying around the city.

Just beat the game yesterday, it's awesome and I'd say the best reason right now to buy a PSV. It's a lot like inFamous just with a Japanese art style, a unique gravity switching hook and a (very likable) female lead. That's the best compliment I can give it because inFamous is my favorite Sony exclusive IP and one of my favorite franchises in all of gaming. I see great things for Gravity Rush as well if Sony and Japan Studio decide to continue it, hopefully it sells well enough to convince them to do so. In the mean time, I'm really looking forward to the upcoming DLC.

Poor music?! Really?! I really couldn't disagree more. I adored everything about the game that you seemed to dislike.

Agree. Love the music in this game. Especially the fight theme and the entertainment district's theme.

Just reached Chapter 19 now, the story is beginning to get freaky... D:

But still, great game. Definitely my favourite game on the Vita so far. Can't wait to see how it ends!

Beat the game and doing the challenge missions. I smell a sequel in the works, haha. Might platinum this one soon!

Just finished playing through the side missions in the Spy DLC. Really enjoyed it, I just wish there were more than two of them but for $3.99 can't really complain. The challenges are pretty good as well, still trying to get gold on each of them.

Try maxing out your stats when attempting to get gold medals for the side challenges. It really helps.

Yeah, I've maxed out a few stats but not all, probably should do that. Thanks for the advice.

I didn't enjoy the game at first, but once I got to the Entertainment District, I've started to enjoy the game a good deal more. I still don't feel any real connection with the world, and even though there are people walking around the world, it still feel a bit empty to me. It's still a unique game with an incredible control scheme, but I do feel that the game was overly hyped up. Still a really good game, but for me, it's not the best game on Vita.

Think about this game as about mix of Rez and Shadow of the Colossus =))).... I did't like Gravity Rush in the begining, but when i get platinum trophy, i was like that this is the best game i've ever played. In other words, Gravity Rush begins to shine when you master gameplay, when you begin to feel yourself in gravity shifting like fish in the water =))... Yeah, Gravity Rush doesn't give you everything from the begining, but i can't tell that it's wrong.
