Topic: Where you going on Holiday?

I'm going to try and get in for Thursday and Friday at least, just because it'll be a bit less crowded. I'd love to get some time with VR stuff too

I'm off to Munich (Germany) and then Salzburg (Austria) for 6 days just before Christmas, getting back on Christmas Eve. Really looking forward to it, since Germany is somewhere I've wanted to live, and Bavaria in particular is beautiful.

Even though it's two years away, once I've finished college me and couple friends have said that we're roadtripping through all of Scandinavia and Iceland in our gap year, since Scandinavia sounds really interesting. I've always wanted to go to really remote Pacific islands like the Marshall Islands too, since it sounds really good to snorkel there.

@Anchorsam_9: Bavaria is awesome, I've climbed mount Einstein (well walked actually) and did adventure training around that region. Mountain biking / canoeing / white water rafting / canyoning / walking / rock climbing etc. So same areas your going it was near the border with Austria.

Obviously you have to be in the navy and have some time free post phase 1 training.

@themcnoisy: We're mostly hanging around Munich city since we're going right in the middle of winter, but I think we'll be going up the mountains around Salzburg when we get there.

That sounds pretty cool, though - I'm definitely planning on going back in a few years and exploring the Alps.

Your trip sounds boss, you've been living it up. I'm sun burnt, skint because of the kids with the song of Hugo the dragon bouncing around my head. (although I would take that over the German national anthem any day).
