@Tasuki That Final Fantasy XV ramen promotion was picked up here in NA courtesy of Maruchan and even had codes for exclusive items inside some of their premium noodle cups with meat and veggies. They were being sold at Walmart, but I don't know if they're still available.

@ReanSchwarzer7 Right, because Final Fantasy has a big following here. Niche games like Persona though I wouldn't expect a tie in with some sort of food here in America.

@Tasuki You’re right. I don’t expect Persona coffee or Gravity Rush fruit snacks, or even Uncharted Gatorade or The Last Guardian Trico’s barrel shaped dog treats ... But 5 years ago I don’t think I would have expected God of War to have a huge advertisement projecting on the courts at an NBA game either. At some point if gaming increases in popularity these images may increasingly start popping up and invade our everyday products. But, yeah, in the West we’ll probably never see Trail of Cold Steel pop tarts. Lol.

@FullbringIchigo Lol! My reply would be a gif, but you already have it as your avatar. 😂

How has this topic made it to a second page without the awesome late 90s Lucozade advert featuring Lara Croft? Seriously, search for "Lara Croft Lucozade" on YouTube and you'll find it... the one where she's being chased by the dogs (there were others, but that was the original and best). They played that so much on UK television at the time, and in cinemas ahead of films, that I was fully aware of who Lara Croft was despite never having played a single Tomb Raider game (don't worry, that changed).

But then, in the 90s, Lara was so much more than her games. She became an icon of "girl power" and "Cool Britannia" (since she was British, and Tomb Raider was developed in Britain) to such a degree, many folk joined her bandwagon without being gamers.

Mario has been everywhere in recent years. Fruit Snacks, Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup, Cereal, etc.

The oddest crossover I've seen? Soulcalibur (I believe the PSP one, it was) at Church's Chicken (a fast food joint here in the States). I don't remember much about the promotion (and certainly never saw it advertised), but they had Taki plastered all over the drive through menu.

Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)

@Th3solution No, you don't. Trust me. It's like drinking fizzy paint-thinner.

@Tasuki Did some digging and you're right, most of the advertising campaign (which was also in print-based media, thanks @kyleforrester87 for the reminder) was contained to the UK. It may have also been translated into a couple of other languages for mainland Europe, but it was primarily designed to tap into those two 90s British concepts I mentioned earlier.

@RR529 Oh man, a lost opportunity for Church’s Chicken... Big Boss wearing the chicken hat in Metal Gear Solid would have been a better choice 😂. Although Taki is a character who could pretty much sell anything.

Lara and Lucozade have teamed up again!

@Th3solution it's a glucose–water solution sport drink, normally fizzy but can be a still drink as well, i think the closest US product would be Gatorade
