I developed a lil bit of a crazy gaming side while at uni with the ps2 and pc gaming what was around and it was the case finish uni coarse work then gaming in halls til the early hours of the morning. I was an art and photography student btw i called it research. But i was known by first name in about 12 local games stores and enjoyed the big beat em up comps. i took a step away from gaming for about 5 yrs then brought a ps3. then i put the controller down to focus on business. But i picked up my controller once again in march of this yr after find a true geek ass gamer girl who out beats me on the nerd side.

Not really. I don't play that much as it is. Maybe 8 hours on average per week? However, I have taken breaks from specific platforms for extended periods of time. I remember waiting a month to get a new PS3 (old one went kaput) several years ago, so, at the time, it felt like torture as I passed the time with Gears of War 2 and Halo 3 multiplayer on my 360. I took two years off from playing any Pokemon games (burned out from playing Diamond for 250+ hours) and recently waited a month to play on a PS4 again. (History repeats itself...launch PS4 went kaput, too!) But now that I have so many consoles and a PC, I never worry about having nothing to play. There's always something to occupy me, but it's all about playing in moderation for me.

Hmm, only a short brake I guess....went from SNES a few years later to Playstation and since then I've been playing games.

I do have some times now and then when I just don't feel like gaming, but I just do something else...read comics, watch an anime....

Have to say since my divorse I spend a whole lot more time gaming, especially on the days I don't have my daughter.

I didn't really play games between 2005 and 2007, and I've definitely had months and weeks where I've chosen to do other things. I don't really see it as a "break", though - there are just periods in life where other things are more important/entertaining. I've always loved games regardless of whether I'm playing for hours at a time or not.

For a couple of years I basically just played pro evo on PS2 then I stopped playing pro evo (or anything else) for about 1 year. Then I bought a Wii with Wii Sports and Zelda Twillight Princess because I had money to burn. I played fanatically since then until this year where literally the only games I've played are Fallout 4 and Uncharted 4. It took half a year to finish Fallout 4 and I'm only on the 4th chapter of Uncharted 4. I guess I'm kind of on a break. I spend more time reading and watching others play games than I play myself.

Happens all the time... I mean lets face it as time goes on there is more and more on my plate and I am sure everyone else have full plate... Right now for me it is hard to have game time since the kids are home for the summer.

That said... once things find a groove and we do less and less closer to winter and school starting.... I will be able to jump back in and play play play...

as for OP don;t over thinking... because from sometime from now you will be many hours into an awesome game and can not understand why you have not gamed more...

currently taking a little break. Usually when I take a break from gaming it's for 1 year maybe 2 if there isn't anything interesting. Sometimes you have to recharge after 8 years of gaming.

We kill people who kill people because killing people is wrong.
