Can't think of any. Maybe Final Fantasy? I'm planning on getting either 15 or the 7 remake next year, but that depends on how much games I'll buy for the latter half of 2017.

@RR529: Gravity Rush, Shadow of the Colossus, Tearaway and Pikmin!? What are ye doing? Get them and play them!

Persona! Unbelievably I downloaded P4G last week after years of putting it off and still haven't started the game. After all the good stuff about the series over the years I am still yet to pop my cherry.

@themcnoisy: The first couple of hours may be off-putting because it starts off really slow but once you start getting into its core gameplay then it will become impossible to put down!

The Witcher, I've got 2&3 installed and have yet to start either. I have heard great things about them so I grabbed 2 when MS had it free and got 3 GOTY in the Black Friday sales.

@Hego: @KratosMD: Great to hear you lads recommending the game! May stick it on this week and blast those first slow hours away.

20 hours of P4G and I just couldn't enjoy it, didn't like all the "simulator" stuff (hanging out at the mall etc..) and I didn't find the dungeons to be much fun either, eep. That's just me though, will try P5.

@kyleforrester87: Will still check it out, its one off the bucket list.

I cant believe so many people have yet to play the mass effect series. Its my favourite last gen series, but I suppose as well as most other game series I cant really recommend revisiting them as the anticipation of each release especially the continuities in the story was a major part of their appeal. Very much a game of the time. Like putting on shoulder pads or sporting a mullet these days, you may feel alright looking in the mirror at home but no one shares your enthusiasm once your in the pub.

@themcnoisy Technically I did play the first game, but only for about 15 minutes before I had to do something. Then the game's owner wanted it back, and I've never had a chance to play it since. Those 15 minutes didn't give enough of an impression for me.

If I could, I'll get Mass Effect Trilogy, but I'll need $40 and potentially a new PS3. I know it's at my local Gamestop too.

Like many others I have played the Persona series. Can't wait until they release 5 here in Europe!

Then there are some odd franchises I have never delved into:
Forza Horizon - The last two parts in the series released on the Xbox One (which I don't plan to buy; even though I did have a 360 last generation), but I can't really figure out why I've never played the first game. I've been a real fan of not too realistic race games in the past, so this franchise is probably right up my alley.
System Shock - The Bioshock games are among my favourite games of all time, so I'm really interested in the origins of that series. I've heard many praise of this series. I never played the first games, because I've never been fan of shooters on PC. But I'm interested in the remaster, though!
Crash Bandicoot - I have totally skipped this franchise, because there were just too many great platformers during the time this released. I had my hands full of Mario, Spyro, Banjo, Rayman and just thought Crash wasn't that big of a deal. Was I mistaken? Please enlighten me!

@Kidfried: Regarding Forza Horizon, I can say that this is easily my favourite racing game series ever (not including kart racers such as Mario Kart). The first game was just so immersive to me, it just felt so amazing driving around in an open world, doing fun stuff, racing across Colorado and listening to some great music. The second one was pretty meh. The setting was better and more varied but the races felt repetitive (in order to 100% a race, you need to do it 10 times with the only difference being in different kinds of cars, how ridiculous is that?). Mind you though that I played the 360 version (it's the only game in the series which is on both the 360 and the One) which had inferior track design compared to the One version. But the third one has just been amazing thus far. It exceeds the first game in all regards except for the soundtrack, but other than that this game feels much more fun than the first game and there's tons to do here with a lot of varied races. I highly recommend playing the first game though and if you're sure you're not going to buy an Xbox One, then get the second one on 360 as well because it is still a fun game.
