The equivalent figure for 5G is 20Gb/s so the total amount of data that can be downloaded simultaneously within the cell is 20 times higher. @KALofKRYPTON
@Chinooker I think a ps vita successor would be great and really hope they make it, anyways thought it was strange sony accepeted failure at the portable market. (Which was more down to release times and lack of first party support and underpowered vita not so much the device itself)
Dont think nintendo will have much to worry about though, two diffrent markets Nintendo caters to the younger audiance and nostalgic fans meanwhile ps5 will cater to a more mature audience and ps fans.
Personally most ps owner i know have a switch and come the ps5 portable nintendo will be in downtime for switch 2 to be ready just as poeple want new devices again its all down to release time and time period cycles
As unlikely is it might be, I would really like Sony to revive their gaming phone line. The technology has improved a lot and if a big name like Sony tried to make a real gaming smartphone, it might finally push mobile gaming in a good direction. I would gladly swap out my Galaxy for a gaming phone made by Sony with physical buttons and support for real games, not just shoddy Android touch screen nonsense.
Streaming on the other hand, I have no faith in. I just don't believe it will ever be really viable for any game that requires fast, precision inputs.

You have to see AAA sales numbers for the VITA, they were not great. Heck Resident Evil Revelations for the
3DS only sold 450,000 copies when it came out - it got rave reviews and nobody bought it.
I love PS4 remote play, I’ve got an IPad and it works perfectly on it, best portable gaming I’ve ever had. A Switch is great, but I’d rather do remote play from my PS4. So, in my book Sony has been correct in jumping of the dedicated handheld band wagon and allowing PS4 remote play on IPads, etc.
The PSVR is the best VR system on the market today.
@PSVR_lover absolutley agree. Love our switches, one of the best systems I've ever had but much prefer Sony/MS going the phone/tablet route as their portable solution. Makes use of things I already have without needing another dedicated single purpose device.
Actually, Resident Evil: Revelations on the 3DS only sold 286,000 copies. I am very glad I got a VITA, Persona 4 Golden is on it and I would buy the system again just for that. It sold over a million copies which is actually one of the better selling VITA games. That’s nothing like what an AAA title on the PS4 sells, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End sold 16 million copies.
I am watching the Switch, if it gets some great releases unique to the system I’ll buy it.
Although the IPad has a 2048 x 1536 resolution screen which is way better than the Switches 1280 x 720 resolution.
The Switch seems to be getting both VITA type releases and 3DS type releases so if you want a handheld, it’s the system to buy right now.
Lastly, there’s no way Sony could compete against it - Nintendo did an amazing job with this system.
I’d love to see a head to head review of the Switch vs an IPad with remote play. Would be real interesting.
The PSVR is the best VR system on the market today.
@JohnnyShoulder Think Two-Face. One side of my face is covered in last-gen ports and the other is covered in annoyingly late announcements of a next-gen console.
