With a second screen solution permitting to play your games on the go. Something better than the actual remote play.

Because, the only other solution is streaming, as with Remote Play, and unless you live in Japan or a big city that's likely going to be a spotty solution at best (as with Remote Play).

I could see Sony keeping the rhombus shape with curved corners. With 3 PS4 models having this shape it feels kinda iconic now.

@Ralizah what would be amazing would be to have the possibility to download a lower resolution version of your game on a mobile terminal.

The design will be the most sinister-looking and coolest in the history of PlayStation. Sharp edges, spikes etc.

I distinctly don't want another generic black or white box. I miss the days when game consoles had some flavor and creativity to their physical appearance.

@Chinooker I don’t think it will be possible for a portable device to play PS5 games natively in there foreseeable future. Whether or not they’ll produce a device specifically for streaming or off TV play. I don’t think it’ll happen till the 5G mobile network is well established at the earliest certainly not anywhere near launch.

I do hope they go with a flat back. The rhombus shape of the PS4 family makes it more difficult to plug cable into the back than it should be.

I love the sharpness of the ps2. I'd like it look like that.

What about this PS5 Console design concept?

I reckon they should implement wood somewhere into the design. Classic walnut panelling along the edges, perhaps. And maybe brass buttons, with a crushed velvet underside in Royal Purple.

I would wait for the resales of the ps4 first now that's a design plus the new ps4 design looks plastic

@JohnnyShoulder mane the Playstation never looked like this not yet PSN is doing way better on the ps4

With recent rumors of sony investing more than usual into cooling I have a feeling the v style ventilation from the devkits will make it into the final retail product.

@KALofKRYPTON thought that was fake? And even so I imagine the V won't be as deep.

@WebHead Could be fake - but to have such a specific design for a dev kit rather just a box of parts that works - is actually pretty weird if it isn't close to the final design.
